Wedding Booking Terms and Conditions
Provisional booking:
A provisional booking will hold your date for 7 days, after which a booking fee is required, in order to secure your date. If a booking fee is not received, then the date will be released and be available for other couples to book.
Firm booking:
A firm booking will be acknowledged upon payment of a 50% booking fee of the agreed total fee (extra agreed mileage + extras will be added nearer the wedding date once known).
You will have 14 days to change your mind, after which no refund will be given.
At this point, the day/date is yours and I will not book any other events on the day of your ceremony.
Payment of balance:
The full balance will be required two months before the ceremony. If a ceremony is booked less than one month in advance, then payment will be required, in full, at the point of booking.
Images and testimonials:
I may ask you to consent to my using photos from your ceremony, either that I have taken or that you have given me access to/consented for me to use, for the sole purpose of promoting my services to others, either on my website, in literature or via social media. I may also ask you to provide a short, written testimonial, usually online or via email.
You are in no way obligated to provide either, but I hope you will.
Confidentiality:
All information given to me during the booking, planning and event process is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without your express permission. The content of your ceremony will be kept confidential with the exception of any third parties we may include in creating your ceremony.
Changes and Cancellations:
Changes to booking dates and times must be notified in writing and will be accommodated whenever possible, but cannot be guaranteed.
If you decide to cancel your booking with me within 14 days of paying the booking fee, then it will be refunded in full. After this time the booking fee cannot not be returned. Cancellations close to the ceremony date will result in charges as follows:
-
Any travel and accommodation cost already incurred by the celebrant plus -
-
Within 3 months of the ceremony – 60% of Celebrant’s fee.
-
Within 2 months of the ceremony – 80% of Celebrant’s fee.
-
Within 1 month of the ceremony – 100% of Celebrant’s fee.
If, for whatever reason, I am unable to perform your ceremony, I will do my best to find a suitable replacement celebrant for your ceremony. If I cancel and am unable to find a replacement, you will receive a full refund.
Legals:
For wedding ceremonies that are recognised by law in England and Wales, you must fulfil the legal requirements at a Registry Office before any celebratory ceremony takes place with myself, as your celebrant. Some variations apply in Scotland, please contact us for details.
Insurance and professional affiliation:
I am a member of the International College of Professional Celebrants and have both £5 Million Public Liability Insurance and £1 Million Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Certificate available on request.
